Milano by Car
The strategy behind a Milan chauffeur's digital presence
Adrian has driven Milan since 1993 — an owner-operated chauffeur service with a fleet of black Mercedes and a reputation built one journey at a time. He designed and runs the website himself. What he wanted was not another agency to take it over, but a senior partner to sharpen the strategy: how to get found, how to win the click before an aggregator does, and how to turn a searching traveller into a direct booking. That partner is Cittago.

The challenge
In Milan, the ride is easy to book — and easy to lose to a middleman.
Milan runs on transfers, and the search results know it. Type “Malpensa airport transfer” or “chauffeur Milan” and the page fills with aggregators, taxi apps and international platforms with advertising budgets a family operator will never match. An independent business can hold a genuine reputation — twenty-plus years, real reviews, a driver who knows every panoramic stop on the way to Como — and still be invisible at the exact second a traveller decides.
And being found is only half of it. Even a traveller who reaches the site can slip away to a commission platform that skims the margin and owns the customer. So the brief was never “make it prettier.” It was strategic: help an owner-operated service punch above its weight in search, and keep the booking — and the relationship — direct with Adrian.

What we advise on
A senior hand on the strategy, not a takeover
Adrian builds and runs the platform; Cittago sets the direction and reads the numbers. On the site itself, we pressure-test it the way a buyer does — does it read premium in three seconds, is the fleet legible (E-Class, S-Class, V-Class, each sized to the trip), is the direct booking engine one step away, does every high-value journey have a page that can rank? The homepage, the fleet, the booking flow and the day-trips are all shaped to answer yes.
Off the site, the work is SEO and Google Ads pointed at how travellers actually search — English-language, intent-led: “Milan airport transfer”, “private driver Milan”, “Bellagio day trip from Milan.” Day-trips become landing pages that earn the organic click; paid search gets in front of the ready-to-book and sends them straight to the reservation, not to an aggregator. Every recommendation protects one outcome — the booking stays with Adrian, at full margin.

In practice
What the consulting covers
Web advisory
We pressure-test the site as a buyer would — does it read premium, is the fleet clear, is the booking one step away — and hand back the fixes that move the needle.
SEO consulting
Structured around the English, intent-led searches that fill a chauffeur's calendar: airport transfers, private drivers, and day-trips from Milan.
Google Ads
Paid search aimed at travellers who are ready to book, routed straight to the direct booking engine instead of a commission platform.
Direct-booking strategy
Every recommendation guards the same goal — the reservation, and the customer, stay with Adrian at full margin. No middleman.

The platform today
1993

This is a consulting relationship, not a rebuild: Adrian owns and runs the platform, and Cittago sharpens the strategy behind it — web, SEO and Google Ads. The performance figures live in Adrian's own Analytics and Ads accounts; what you see here is the platform the advice is built around.
