Alex & George
One holding, many divisions, five languages
Alex & George Import Export is a Cluj-Napoca holding run by the Hanga family — a construction business with roots back to 1990 that grew into something broader: civil and industrial building, real-estate development, a four-star boutique hotel, a halal abattoir and butchery, food trading, and petroleum products for markets in the Middle East and Russia. Built by Cittago in 2016, the site's job was to hold all of that under one credible roof — and speak to partners across the world.

The challenge
Six businesses, one credible face.
A holding is a hard thing to present. Alex & George isn't one company with one message — it's construction and real estate sitting beside a boutique hotel, a halal abattoir, food trade and petroleum consultancy. Show all of it badly and you look unfocused; hide the range and you undersell the group. The site had to make a diversified, family-run Romanian holding read as one serious, coherent business.
And it had to do that in more than one language. Alex & George trades internationally — food from Greece and Ukraine, petroleum consultancy toward the Middle East and Russia — so the site couldn't be Romanian-only. Partners and buyers had to meet the company in their own language, from the same one build, without it feeling bolted on.
What we built
A corporate home for the whole group
We built the site on WordPress: a calm, corporate front for the holding, led by architecture and a clear promise — planning, design and execution, since 1990. A single 'Fields of Activity' structure carries every division — construction, real-estate development, hospitality, the halal abattoir, food and petroleum products — each with room to explain itself without crowding the others. The board and the family story sit behind an 'About us' that establishes tradition and trust.
Crucially, the site runs in five languages — Romanian, English, Arabic, Russian and Chinese — so an international partner meets Alex & George in their own language from the same build. Contact is one tap away on every screen, and the whole thing reads as one company with many capabilities, rather than a folder of unrelated ventures.
